Back to Press releases

Ghobeiry Primary School for Girls officially opened its renovated playground on Thursday, a project carried out by Nestlé Lebanon. The inauguration was attended by Fadi Yarak, General Manager of Education, Ministry of Education; and Ludovic Toulemonde and Bernard Chaaya representing Nestlé Lebanon.

"We are pleased to see companies like Nestlé acting socially responsible in Lebanon," said Fadi Yarak during the inauguration.

"Nestlé has always been an active social player in Lebanon, as well as in all the local communities where it is present," said Ludovic Toulemonde of Nestlé Lebanon. "We are happy to make this small contribution to Ghobeiry Primary School for Girls, and hope the new playground will encourage more of its students to engage in sports activities, ultimately ushering them into a healthier lifestyle."

Nestlé's initiative saw the school playground completely revamped to meet quality and safety standards, equipping it with all necessary sports facilities including basketball and volleyball fields.

Notably, a big part of Nestlé's annual budget, both in Switzerland and worldwide, is dedicated to programs that serve the nutrition, health and well-being of children and youth.
